Ti Rod Tactical Palm Sticks

Self-Defense Palm Sticks

On Jan of 2018 Joe from Ti Rod Tacticals sent me a package of his self-defense palm sticks.
These Titanium palm sticks can take your skills to the next level!

First of all it should be a no brainer that it's better to use a palm stick rather than your bare hands.
You don't want to risk injuring your hand and you have no idea where the assailant has been and what they have.
Any police officer will tell you that it's a risk to touch the suspect.

Once you have something like this in your hands people seem to think that you can go crazy and just gorilla pound your target to pieces.
Hey since your not striking with your hands anymore there are no worries right?
Wrong!
After repeatedly testing that out on some tires I can tell you that you will injure your hand if you go all out.

And this may not seem like it, but it's a revelation.
It is an incredibly important lesson that you want to learn, I mean really learn.
What's the difference between a Pro Boxer and a Toughman Contest competitor?
The Pro Boxer doesn't go all out.

This is easier said than done, you have to experience this first hand and let your body, mind, and whole being know that you do not want to go all out in a real life situation.

Wear gloves, get a Ti Rod Tactical palm stick and don't be shy, go all out on a tire and learn from actual experience that you don't want to go balls to the wall.
That is not the way I want to fight.
I want to use skill and strategy.

Once you experience the pain in your hand tell yourself that is the stupid way.
Once you have done that it's time for you to practice toning it down.
You see it's important to go real hard so that you know what you can take, then it's a matter of dialing it down notch by notch.

This kind of experience is incredibly valuable and normally Professional Fighters experience this through full contact sparring and matches where they had to pay with their bodies, including various levels of brain and organ damage.

The only price you will pay is a sore hand.

The Ti Rod Tactical Palm Stick can also help take your Heaven 6 technique to the next level.
Many people can do the Heaven 6 after all it's probably the most famous technique in all of South East Asian Martial Arts.
However not many people can do the Heaven 6 well in Close Range.
Close Range is very important in self-defense because this is where the nasty stuff can occur.

Traditionally speaking you are suppose to naturally transition from sticks to Close Range techniques by practicing with training knives and empty hand.

That helps for sure but to take things to the next level you have to go Reverse Grip with the knife.
Now that is hard to do.
It's not as easy as change grips and that's it, no, you have to unlock more than that.

When you use the Palm Sticks it's easy because you can just bang away with them using hammer fists.
However we have to go back to the first lesson and realize that hammering away full force is not the answer.
So now you have to imagine that the Palm Sticks are knives.
You have to imagine that you are holding the knives in the Reverse Grip.

Then you will start to open the doors and not lock yourself in with only using the hammer fist.
You will start to see new angles that come from a method called Scraping.
You will learn new body mechanics that have to do with pulling downwards rather than thrusting towards.

Palm Stick training has always been a very important part of my system.
The Palm Stick is a great self-defense tool so it's important to know how to properly use one.
Also Palm Stick training is critical for upping your knife skills including Reverse Grip, closed folder fighting, and Secondary Cutting (not relying on the blade).
