Lapu Lapu Corto Knife

LLC Knife from CSSD-SC, design by Prof Bram Frank

Prof Bram Frank is a FMA (Filipino Martial Arts) expert, an instructor of instructors and for many years now he has been kind and supportive towards my YouTube channel.

The LLC (Lapu Lapu Corto) knife is truly an amazing knife because it's jam packed with all these features that come from Prof Bram Frank's decades of experience in the martial arts.
Every crook and nanny has a reason based from his style of combat.

Each one of his folding knives are two tools in one.
A non lethal self-defense impact tool and also a knife that can be used for combat or EDC choirs.

In the closed position these knives are non lethal self-defense impact tools.
This means that they can be used and brought into action well before a lethal force situation.
In a world obsessed with knife deployment speed, if you think about it, this is one of the fastest knives in the market today simply because of timing rather than literal speed.

You can't compare this knife to other quick deploying folding knives because it's like comparing the speed of drawing a pistol from a holster on the hip versus a pistol already on your arm like the one in Taxi Driver.
This knife is meant to be already in your hands.
So it separates taking the knife out and taking the blade out rather than trying to do both of those at once under pressure.

Once the closed LLC is in your hand it is a Palm Stick/Yawara Stick on steroids.
The butt end of the LLC is weighted for Hammer Fist strikes and it also has jimping or should I say ridges that would gnaw and shred skin by simply dragging it across the bad guy's face.
The oversized ramp on the LLC has many usages to enhance the Palm Stick ability.
In the closed Palm Stick position you can do a lot more than just Jab and Hammer Fist with it, there are scraping, pinching, hammering, finger joint locks and more.

Opening the knife is made easy by also using the ramp.
The ramp is designed to hook on just about anything it can dig it's teeth into and a quick pulling motion will deploy the blade using simple physics.
This is called the Kinetic Opening.

The ramp is not restricted to just hooking onto your pants pocket, it can be used to deploy the blade off of limbs and even trees and table legs!

The LLC knife also has a divot called the "Post in the Hole" for a technique called Indexing.
Indexing is used for quickly switching from Standard Grip to Reverse Grip.

The LLC knife has what is called a Puzzle Lock that is ultra strong and specifically designed so that the spine of the knife can be used for trapping techniques.

The LLC knife has many blade shapes to cater to your personal preference.
